Empowering EUDR compliance and innovation with new partnerships

Rob Shaw, our Head of Standards and Integrity, reflects on the Earth Observation (EO) and Traceability companies who attended the recent PEFC Forest Forum in Paris.

Empowering EUDR compliance and innovation with new partnerships

13 June 2024 EU Deforestation Regulation

We were lucky to have LIVE EO, Osapiens and TimberID as gold sponsors at the PEFC Forest Forum, and Timbeter as a silver sponsor.

At the conference, the sponsors met with PEFC members and international stakeholders to demonstrate and explain their technology solutions for EUDR compliance. Thanks go to Alberta Zatta and João Diogo, Michael Frank, Swapan Chaudhuri, and Anna-Greta Tsahkna!

PEFC is working towards partnerships with all these companies, with our first announcement due soon on our plans with LIVE EO.

LIVE EO, Osapiens and TimberID have end-to-end software solutions for EUDR compliance which include Earth Observation checks for deforestation and degradation, data sharing capability and Due Diligence Statement functionality.

Timbeter are specialists in geolocation and traceability of timber and are currently adding further EUDR capabilities to their product offering.

Another partner who unfortunately was unable to join the Paris event is Ekwato, a French-based software company led by Vincent Pelé, who has used his knowledge as a chain of custody consultant and auditor to design his fully integrated software solution.

Visit our EUDR webpage to learn more about all these companies and their solutions for EUDR compliance.

PEFC will be progressing our partnerships in the coming months and further announcements and webinars will follow.

We believe that choice is important to certified organizations in this critical technology market and our partners can offer a range of services to companies big and small.

Whilst no company is forced to adopt these software solutions, they should offer seamless ways to share EUDR required data along supply chains and automated linkage to the EU information centre to give readiness for EUDR implementation at the end of 2024.

Integrations with our modular EUDR standard will help certified organisations with their Due Diligence tasks and make risk management of their timber supply chains easier.
