The details

We are holding two sessions as part of our PEFC Training Recognition Programme (TRP) for certification bodies. The sessions will focus on technical calibration for the 2020 standards and the certification body internal training recognition requirements.

Following this training, certification bodies can apply for recognition of their internal trainings. Once approved, they can provide internal PEFC training to their own auditors.

Both sessions will be held online over three half-days, approximately four hours a day. We are holding the sessions at two different times, to ensure certification bodies around the world are able to attend:

• 20, 22, 24 July 2020, 8:30 to 13:00 CEST
• 7, 9, 11 September 2020, 13:00 to 17:30 CEST

Why attend the training?

Through our PEFC Training Recognition Programme (TRP), certification bodies can get formal recognition of their internal PEFC chain of custody training programme and carry out internal trainings in compliance with PEFC's requirements.

The main advantage is that you do not have to plan how and when every individual participant can attend a training organized by PEFC. Instead, you can decide yourself when to train them.

This TRP training is also in line with the 2020 standards. Once your internal training programme is recognized, you will be able to train your auditors to carry out audits against the 2020 PEFC Chain of Custody standard. The steps to PEFC recognition

Following your participation in the training, you will need to develop and submit the content and process description of your internal PEFC training to PEFC International. 

Your internal training will then be assessed against the PEFC International TRP requirements for CBs (currently under development). Once we have positively verified the process description and training content, we award the PEFC recognition.

During the training we will provide you with information on these requirements and the PEFC chain of custody related standards.  

PEFC organized training for auditors, reviewers and certification decision makers

If you don’t wish to take part in the TRP, we also organize various trainings throughout the year for auditors, reviewers and certification decision makers. These trainings are carried out by recognized PEFC International technical experts.
