Call for nominations: Task Force on data aspects of the EUDR

17 November 2023 EU Deforestation Regulation

Thank you for your nominations. The call for nominations is closed.

Scope of the task force

The EUDR DATA TF will identify and validate the data gaps (including geolocation) between PEFC ST 1003, Sustainable Forest Management – Requirements, PEFC ST 2002 Chain of Custody – Requirements and the EU Deforestation Regulation.

The task force will also consider options for alignment in the short, medium, and long term and develop technical proposals for consideration by the Sustainable Forest Management and Chain of Custody Working Groups.

This temporary task force was established by the PEFC International Board of Directors under the Sustainable Forest Management and Chain of Custody Working Groups.

Important information

The first meeting of the task force will be held virtually on 14 December, 10:00 to 13:00 CET.

Members are expected to participate in meetings consistently. The task force will meet at least once a month until May 2024, mainly online. Task force members are also expected to prepare for the meetings, read documents and actively participate.

PEFC is not in the position to fund members’ expenses incurred due to participation in the EUDR DATA TF.
