11 December 2024 PEFC system news

PEFC invites stakeholders globally to nominate candidates for the new PEFC Project Certification Task Force. This new, temporary task force will be responsible for revising the requirements of PEFC chain of custody certification for specified projects, such as construction projects.

We are looking to build an experienced task force with balanced representation of stakeholder interests and relevant knowledge and expertise in project certification and construction. In particular, we encourage nominations by construction experts, project certification certificate holders or contractors, certification bodies and consultants, and PEFC national members.

To make a nomination, please fill in this form and submit it by 10 January 2025.

Scope of the task force

This task force will be responsible for revising the requirements of PEFC chain of custody certification for specified projects, also known as the PEFC Project Certification requirements.

More specifically, the group will analyse and identify opportunities for PEFC project certification, identify the overall strategy for PEFC project certification, and ensure that the PEFC project certification requirements respond to the user needs. In addition, they will contribute to the development of new tools related to the revised project certification requirements.
