Auditor training
Auditors, reviewers, and certification decision makers are invited to register for a PEFC recognised chain of custody initial training on 2-3 September 2024. Following the publication of the PEFC EUDR DDS module standard, this training will include the PEFC EUDR DDS.
Attending a PEFC recognised chain of custody initial training is a pre-requisite for an auditor wishing to issue certification against the PEFC chain of custody related standards, as required by PEFC ST 2003.
The details
The training takes place virtually over two full days on 2 and 3 September, exact times will be published shortly. The training will be online using MS Teams.
The training will provide an introduction to the PEFC Chain of Custody standard, focusing on the structure, the input-output process, the PEFC Due Diligence System (DDS), the chain of custody methods and multi-site certification. It will also cover the PEFC Trademarks standard and Certification Body Requirements standard, as well as the latest PEFC chain of custody updates according to Chain of Custody Guidance for Use, PEFC GD 2001.
The training will also cover the PEFC EUDR Due Diligence System, PEFC ST 2002-1:2024, equipping auditors with the knowledge they need to help companies transition to the new DDS module standard, which is a pathway to EUDR alignment.
Before the training, participants are expected to read the PEFC standards. Participants will also be provided with case studies in advance of the training and will need to provide their answers to the technical expert.
The training will be given by PEFC International Technical Experts Rob Shaw, Linda Matole, and Ambra Scodro and will be held in English.
The participation fee is 540 USD/45,000 INR (excluding GST) and the registration deadline is 26 August.
