Auditor training
Experienced auditors, reviewers, and certification decision makers are invited to register for a PEFC recognised chain of custody refresher training on 18-19 August 2025, followed by an EUDR DDS training on 22 August 2025.
This refresher training is designed for qualified PEFC auditors, reviewers or certification decision makers who wish to maintain their qualification to issue certification against the 2020 PEFC chain of custody related standards, as required by PEFC ST 2003.

The details
The one and a half-day refresher training takes place online, 16:00-17:00, 18 August and 9:45-18:10, 19 August, followed by a four-hour EUDR DDS training, 10:00-14:15, 22 August. The timings are all in JST.
This training will cover the latest PEFC chain of custody updates, followed by the chain of custody methods, the Due Diligence System (DDS), multi-site organisations, and additional guidance on the implementation of PEFC DDS for trees outside forests. It will also cover trademark rules and requirements and certification body requirements.
In addition, the EUDR DDS training will equip auditors with the knowledge they need to help companies transition to the new DDS module standard, which is a pathway to EUDR alignment.
Before the training, participants are expected to read the related PEFC standards. Participants will also be provided with case studies in advance of the training and will need to provide their answers to the trainers.
The training will be given by PEFC International Technical Experts Tatsuya Kajiya, Shigeru Takahara, Makiko Horio and will be held in Japanese.
The participation fee for the training is 50,000/certification body Japanese Yen + 100 CHF (equivalent Japanese Yen/Trainee). The registration deadline is 18 July.
