PEFC Czech Republic

History before PEFC

PEFC Czech Republic is a professional voluntary independent association of legal entities with jurisdiction in the territory of the Czech Republic. PEFC Czech Republic was founded to support sustainable forest management, wood consumption as an environmentally sustainable source of wood products and for the purpose of Nature Protection and Sustainable Development through the implementation of the Czech Forest Certification System.

PEFC Czech Republic was one of the founding members of PEFC and joined the alliance in 1999.

What are the benefits of being part of the PEFC alliance?

By supporting sustainable forest management, PEFC ensures throughout the forest products supply chain that timber and forest products are produced in compliance with the highest environmental, social and ethical standards. Thanks to the PEFC brand, customers and consumers anywhere in the world can identify products from forests that are managed in a sustainable manner. This is what we consider the biggest benefit of PEFC internationally.
