KFCC
History before PEFC
The development of the Korean national system began in 2014. Drafted in partnership with members of the standardization committee, the Korea Forest Certification Council (KFCC-the body responsible for the development of the national system) approved it in 2015. Korea joined the PEFC alliance in 2016 and the national system has been endorsed by PEFC in 2018.
What are the benefits of being part of the PEFC alliance?
We expect the sustainable management of forest to become widespread in Korea.
We also look forward to the increased production and export of PEFC-certified products originating from our sustainably managed, PEFC-certified forests.
