Mohd Nurudeen Iddrisu

Nurudeen is a professional forester, forest geneticist and forest resource analyst with over twenty years' extensive experience in sustainable tropical forest management, forest products utilization and marketing, international forestry issues, academic research and tropical timber trade advocacy.
Nurudeen is Executive Director at the Timber Industry Development Division (TIDD) of the Ghana Forestry Commission. He also served as Chairperson for the ITTO Committee on Reforestation and Forest Management 2015-2016. He developed strategies to promote the use of Ghana’s lesser known timbers as a mechanism to promote the long-term sustainability of Ghana's forests.
His previous experiences include employment with State and Federal governments in USA as research scientist and in Ghana as forest manager and lecturer. Nurudeen has a PhD in Forest Genetics from the University of British Columbia (UBC-Canada), and an MSc in Forestry (Cuba).
