Gerald Pfiffinger

Gerald is Managing Director at Umweltdachverband, an umbrella organization of 35 Austrian environmental NGOs in the fields of nature and alpine conservation, environmental protection and renewable energy.
Previously, he worked as the Managing Director for BirdLife Österreich in Vienna, involved in strategic, tactical and operational management, strategy and organizational development, as well as marketing, PR and fundraising and environmental advocacy work (EU/federal government/provinces).
He also worked for WWF Austria in project management, campaign work and lobbying, and was the WWF representative in a number of advisory boards and, business cooperation. Gerald has a master’s degree in Economics from the Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Austria.
