A predefined template for PEFC EUDR DDS chain of custody standards is ready for setup based on country specific. This approach allows for automation, raises efficiency and reduces cost for due diligence documentation gathering. |
Integrations
TimberID API keys support integration with a client ERP system automating the relevant data exchange, providing the DDS claims submission process with the EU TRACES platform. Practically, the Client is handling the sales processes as usual and seamlessly is receiving the DDS number and is being placed on a standard delivery note.
TimberID also supports external sources such as certification databases (e.g. PEFC, FSC, other) and automates the verification of the certificates. The system also helps to ensure compliance with a variety of regulations, including environmental risks, trade sanctions, etc.
Decentralised Approach
TimberID Decentralised Approach:
- Increased efficiency as more participants adopt the platform
- Compatibility with existing ERP systems for seamless integration
- Enhance data privacy and security through selective data sharing
- Automated data entry through digital delivery notes, improving cost efficiency
- Streamline compliance with automated DDS submissions via Traces integration
- Detailed traceability at the transaction level, supported by digital delivery notes and - if necessary - individual log/truck IDs, for verification
- Automated downstream audit processes, mainly document gathering across all tiers of a supply chain
Audit process
The integrated audit documentation module streamlines the audit process, enabling upstream business partners to efficiently collect relevant data and carry out the entire process remotely.
Automation of this process ensures the identification of areas of non-compliance and reduces human work engagement on companies involved in these processes.
Geolocation Provenance Evidence
TimberID is providing the DDN and Dcode evidence processes within the platform, in an Authentication Module, directly accessible on demand.
Digital Delivery Note (DDN) first level of timber geolocation provenance documented verifiable evidence.
Timber load, (truck, container) product specification is supported by a photo documentation, sourced at the point of dispatch and verified at the point of reception.
Optionally, a rout GPS tracking can be applied.
Physical timber traceability is optional but recommended in high-risk environments.
Single timber log ID by applying a Dcode, marking technology by applying a unique, variable code, indented on the log face, delivering a dataset of an exact geolocation and timestamp.
Dcode dataset can be transferred to a board, and/or veneer level, securing the provenance information linked with a final wooden product.
TimberID platform is creating an automated deforestation analysis report based on satellite imagery analysis.
TimberID Deforestation Report structure:
- Report summary
- Satellite images sourcing - Copernicus Sentinel
- Forest maintained map, lost forest, gained forest, from 2020 to date, on full year
- Basic data about the plot, as surface area, coordinates, biomass

- Tropical Tree Cover, 2020
- Satellite image + Forest mask - annual forest loss view
- 2020-2024 - Satellite image + Forest mask
- Risk of future deforestation based on historical data
- Verification of commodity plots
