We are looking for a full-time Communications Design Specialist to join our Market Engagement team, contributing to the development of impactful campaigns, while ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and tone of voice. 

You'll play a key role in designing graphics for social media, presentations, and marketing materials. Additionally, your role will involve creating and editing written content based on a brief. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail to bring visual concepts to life.

Ability to multitask and a strong sense of priorities are crucial for keeping on top of multiple projects and timelines. You can expect an international and multicultural environment, collaboration across teams and geographies, and working on inspiring topics related to sustainability, ESGs, and responsible business practices. Hence, it will be essential that you are passionate about these subjects.

Responsibilities

  • Design appealing and consistent visual content, such as social media graphics, factsheets, one-pagers, and banners in alignment with brand guidelines. Collaborate with external designers for larger projects like annual reviews and brochures.
  • Assist with content development to support the implementation of the marketing and communication strategies and campaigns, including creating engaging content that will attract the right audience.
  • Review internal and external communications for language consistency and adherence to brand guidelines. 
  • Conduct design and language reviews of team-produced materials (PowerPoint presentations, brochures and other materials) to ensure quality and consistency, and when necessary, provide training sessions to colleagues on templates. 
  • Development and maintenance of Word templates.
  • Schedule and publish social media posts and website content and assist in the development and management of the content calendars.
  • Assist in the review and update of the PEFC brand guidelines.
  • Assist in the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and track relevant metrics using analytics tools, help prepare reports on campaign effectiveness for senior management.
  • Contribute to the brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas for marketing initiatives and campaigns. 
  • Stay updated on social media and marketing trends, tools, and best practices.

Applicant profile

Education

  • Degree in Communications or related field
  • Strong command of the English language, other languages an advantage 
  • Certifications from reputable organizations in areas such as social media marketing or digital marketing, for example: Facebook certification, Google Ads certification 

 Experience

  • 5 years of work experience 
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or similar 
  • Experience in the development of social media strategies an asset, with a focus on LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Experience SEO and/or website UX an asset
  • Experience in Dynamics 365 Customer Insights an asset 

 Competencies

  • Knowledge of design principles and best practices for creating engaging and visually appealing graphics 
  • Ability to work in a team and responding to multiple requests under deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Project management skills
  • Ease in adopting relevant software (preferably prior experience) such as: Google Analytics, Brandwatch, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skill
  • Clear communication skills and collaborative team player
  • Passion for sustainability, design, and communication

Work Environment

The role can be filled either by a Geneva office-based or remote candidate, requests from both preferences will be considered equally. 

  1. Geneva-based candidate, we work on a hybrid model, with up to two days’ work from home possible per week. 
  2. Remote, the candidate will be expected to travel to the Geneva office six to 12 times a year. Candidate will be expected to work aligned to CET work hours
