PEFC Collaboration Fund

Pioneering the application of technology and innovation within forest certification.

PEFC Collaboration Fund

The PEFC Collaboration Fund is our competitive small grants programme. It supports efforts to advance sustainable forest management and forest certification around the world by PEFC members and partner organizations.

Since it began in 2011, the PEFC Collaboration Fund has become an increasingly successful way of providing financial support to a range of projects within the field of forest certification. These projects not only accelerate sustainable forest management but also foster collaboration amongst a variety of different actors.

Over the last eight years, we have awarded over 900,000 Swiss Francs and leveraged co-funding of more than one million Swiss Francs to 39 projects around the world.

The next opportunity to submit a project to the Fund will be in 2020. Sign up to our newsletter for news of the next call for proposals. However, you can join our Technology and Innovation Platform at any time.

From 2018, the PEFC Collaboration Fund switched focused, looking for project proposals that pioneer the application of technology and innovation within forest certification.

We are looking for ambitious solutions to tackle critical issues like making certification more accessible for smallholders, creating innovative approaches for auditing and data collection, or imagining new ways to engage consumers on sustainability.
