PEFC chain of custody initial training: Germany
Auditors, reviewers, and certification decision makers are invited to register for a PEFC recognized chain of custody initial training 22-23 September 2021.
Attending a PEFC recognized chain of custody initial training is a pre-requisite for any auditor, reviewer or certification decision maker wishing to issue certification against the 2020 PEFC chain of custody related standards, as required by PEFC ST 2003.
Issuing certification against the 2020 standards is only possible after the completion of either initial or refresher training, and once you are accredited against the 2020 versions of the standards.
The training takes place on 22 and 23 September in Bamberg, Germany.
The training will present the PEFC system at national and international level, and give an introduction into the PEFC International Chain of Custody Standard (PEFC ST 2002) and the PEFC International Trademark Standard (PEFC ST 2001), before applying the knowledge in case studies. The training will end with a knowledge check on the standards.
Before the training, participants are expected to read the 2020 versions of the PEFC standards, along with the summary of changes. These can all be found on our website. Participants will also be provided with case studies in advance of the training and will need to provide their answers to the technical expert.
The training will be given by Dirk Teegelbekkers, Secretary General of PEFC Germany.
The training will be in German. The training fee is 200€. You will receive a certificate of attendance after successful completion of the course.
Following the training, participants will have three weeks to complete the online knowledge test. Participants that pass this test will receive a PEFC recognised chain of custody training certificate within two weeks. Successful participants will also be added to the PEFC register of trained auditors, reviewers, and certification decision makers.
