13th World Architecture Festival

13th World Architecture Festival

Construction event

For the third time, we are supporting the World Architecture Festival Best Use of Certified Timber Prize, rewarding architects and project teams for their use of certified timber as a main construction material for buildings outstanding in sustainability, innovation, quality or aesthetics.

In its 13th year, the World Architecture Festival will take place on the 2-4 December 2020 at the FIL Lisbon.

At the heart of the Festival sits a unique awards programme. It is the only architecture awards where architects pitch their work to a panel of expert judges and their peers - all live at the festival. The winner will be announced at a Gala Dinner on Friday 4 December.

Alongside the awards programme sit keynotes and seminars, city tours through Lisbon, the WAF secret village, fringe events, parties and more. Under one roof, over three days WAF provides a global stage of extraordinary architecture.

Are you an architect or part of a project team that has recognised the many benefits of timber as a construction material? Did you choose certified timber as the main material for your construction project? Then make sure to enter your project! The deadline for entry is 14 August 2020.
