13th China Hangzhou Cellulose Fiber (Viscose) Industry Forum
Forests for Fashion
The importance of sustainably managed forests for fashion
Join us on Wednesday 22 May as we lead the session on the importance of sustainably managed forests for fashion, including a guest speaker from United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
Together, we will present our long-running collaboration to promote the role of sustainably managed forests and importence of responsible sourcing.
We need to ensure that the forest-based materials used to make our clothes originate from sustainably managed forests, and that we produce them in a sustainable and ethical manner. Our Forests for Fashion initiative with the UNECE aims at just this.
We are linking forest-based materials from sustainably managed forests with the world of fashion. Bringing these fantastic, innovative and sustainable materials to a wider audience.
About the Forum
In 2018, more than 300 participants attended the Forum – mainly viscose supplies from China and the region. Asia-Pacific accounts for 62% of the global viscose market. The Forum has been hosted for twelve years, which has become a big event of the industry chain. This year at the forum would be discussed viscose trends, market analysis and sustainability prospects.
