The public consultation on the draft of the revised PEFC Chain of Custody standard (published on 5th June 2009) and proposed changes from Building and Woodworker's International (BWI) is still ongoing. The deadline for the consultation on both, draft Chain of Custody standard as well as BWI is 7th August 2009.

The revision of the international PEFC Chain of Custody standard will have a direct impact on the PEFC related sector, including members, certified companies, notified certification bodies and other stakeholders.

PEFC International therefore encourages all interested parties to participate in the consultation process and to submit their comments on and suggestions for the improvement of the draft Chain of Custody standard.
